Statement of Beliefs

The spiritual foundation upon which Earth Connection Community is built — our understanding of the divine, the sacrament, and our responsibility to one another and the Earth.

The Sacred Web of Life

We affirm that the universe is a single, living web in which all beings — human and non-human, visible and invisible — are sacred expressions of Spirit. Our path is one of remembering this interdependence and restoring harmony through reverence, ceremony, and communion with the natural and unseen worlds. Because body, mind, heart, and spirit are inseparable, healing in any realm resonates through all; our work cultivates balance, clarity, compassion, and wholeness.

The Holy Sacrament & Plant Teachers

Central to our tradition is Ayahuasca, revered as Oni Xuma, a conscious sacrament brewed from Banisteriopsis caapi and Psychotria viridis. Approached with humility, she illuminates the roots of suffering, opens gateways to divine consciousness, and reconnects us with the sacred essence in all things.

We also engage master plant allies — especially Noya Rao, Bobinsana, and others — through the Shipibo-Konibo practice of dieta: disciplined periods of prayer, dietary simplicity, and solitude that foster direct relationship with each plant-spirit. These plants are living teachers whose guidance is carried in sacred songs (Icaros) and in the vibrational geometry of Kene, the energetic language of creation.

The Divine Presence in Nature

We honor Yoshin, the indwelling divine presence, and the Oni that animate rivers, trees, mountains, and every element of the Earth, herself a conscious Great Mother who nourishes and instructs us. Right relationship with her and with all beings is essential for the flourishing of future generations. We walk the path of ayni — sacred reciprocity — taking only what we need, giving back in balance, and serving as responsible stewards of the planet.

Sacred Ceremony & Integration

Our ceremonies rest on spiritual hygiene, clear intention, abstention from intoxicants, energetic protection, and thorough integration. We employ soplaying (tobacco blessings), prayer, meditation, Icaros, and community sharing circles to cleanse, guide, and anchor the work.

Beyond formal ceremony, we nurture ongoing mutual support through regular integration circles, educational gatherings, and collaborative service projects that weave spiritual insight into daily life and strengthen the fabric of our community. We mark rites of passage and seasonal transitions together, reaffirming our alignment with life's natural cycles and grounding insight in everyday practice.

Ethics & Cultural Respect

We uphold consent, integrity, accountability, and cultural respect in all spaces, rejecting exploitation, coercion, and commodification. We honor elders and maestros/maestras as carriers of lineage wisdom, maintain living relationships with Indigenous communities, and adapt our practices to the United States context without diluting their essence.

Our Commitment to Community

Collectively we commit to providing physically, emotionally, spiritually, and medically safe environments through thoughtful screening, spiritually-grounded facilitation, and transparent governance. We recognize that personal healing contributes to the healing of families, communities, ecosystems, and humanity as a whole. In service, community, and love, we dedicate ourselves to living these principles and sharing them with all sincere seekers.
